GeForce GTX 1660 Ti leakage shows the outperforming graphics card of the GTX 1070

A benchmark leak of the new GeForce GTX 1660 Ti – which is almost certainly in the cards at the present time, given the weight of evidence that we have seen recently – indicates that the graphics card will be faster than 39. a GTX 1070 and almost as fast as possible. The Radeon VII freshly launched by AMD (believe it or not – we'll talk about it later).

The GTX 1660 Ti, which would have been launched later this week, recorded exactly 5,000 points in a Final Fantasy XV benchmark discovered by TUM_APISAK, causing many GPU benchmark leaks.

Of course, as with any leak of this type, we must keep in mind that this may not be genuine. But if this is the case, the GTX 1660 Ti will be faster than the GTX 1070, which scored 4,954 points on the same criteria (resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, high quality details).

It's also only 25 points away from the GTX Titan X, which represented a lot of GPUs when it was launched (though it's true, almost four years ago).

What may be really interesting here, though, is that compared to competing AMD cards, the 1660 Ti is not far from AMD's Radeon VII, which recorded a 5 283.

In other words, the GPU that Nvidia would have received would only be about 5% slower here, and the GTX 1660 Ti would have a price below $ 300, rumors of a price of 279 USD in the United States, against 699 USD for the Radeon. VII.

Fantastic results?

This would obviously represent a stunning reversal for Nvidia in terms of value for money, but many important caveats apply. For starters, we are talking about two different rumors in terms of price and reference.

And this benchmark of Final Fantasy XV does not match our results (nor anyone else's) in terms of overall performance of the Radeon VII, which equates to the Nvidia RTX 2080, in general (and surpasses it in certain areas).

And the RTX 2080 has gone over 8,000 with its Final Fantasy XV result, so obviously things do not add up somewhere. Of course, anyway, you can not say as much from a single game marker (assuming it's on the money first, in this case).

Nevertheless, the GTX 1660 Ti is clearly becoming an impressive GPU and, according to a record precedent published under the Ashes of the Singularity label, it will be nearly 20% faster than a GTX 1060 (and pretty much identical to a GTX 1070 – save this leak, pretty much).

Nvidia no doubt realizes that it has to fight against the recent sales of poor RTX graphics cards, because of the very high prices applied to these graphics cards, which partly explains the fall in the company's profits.

At least we will not wait long to know if the GTX 1660 Ti will be released later this week. Hopefully we can finally see the introductory price and test it ourselves.
