Vicki Gunvalson and Lisa Vanderpump may not be “housewives” anymore, but there is still a drama between them.
Former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Steve Lodge’s fiancé called out the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum via Instagram after Vanderpump’s TomTom Restaurant & Bar in West Hollywood announced that it would require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before guests can enter the premises.
“What happened to the right to confidentiality of your medical records?” Lodge asked in a video posted Tuesday. “I guess someone forgot to tell them that vaccinated people can also spread and contract COVID.”
While the CDC says people vaccinated can indeed spread the new coronavirus, recent data has shown that more than 97% of people who end up in hospital with the virus are not vaccinated.
After describing a number of “other contagious viruses” including influenza, Ebola, hepatitis A and B, rabies and measles, Lodge said: “This is not a decision they made in science, but rather out of fear. “
The Republican candidate for governor of California – who posed the question to Gunvalson in April 2019 but has yet to walk down the aisle – smiled while suggesting at the end of his video that people should “spend their money. restaurant dollars elsewhere ”.
He captioned the post: “Restaurants that require vaccinations and tests violate the medical privacy of their customers. I don’t see a restaurant [sic] demanding the disclosure of one of the most dangerous contagious viruses. A vaccination doesn’t mean you can’t contract or spread the virus either, so what’s the point? Is it just theater? It is certainly not science.
“I guess you can tell, his restaurant is his choice. But where does this discrimination against a virus with a survival rate of 99.8% end? It’s a very slippery slope and we have to stop and use reason and logic, not fear and hysteria.
Many fans took to the comments section of Lodge’s post to express their opinions.
“You look ridiculous. We are in a pandemic with COVID-19. It’s simple. Find out, ”one person commented.
Another intervened: “You suffer from the disease of the uninformed !! #Zero Facts 🙄. “
A third remarked: “Just take the vaccine from the dam !!! Every business has the right to refuse service. It’s not about your freedom, it’s about protecting others!
Some fans, however, thanked Lodge for his perspective, writing: “👏 Thanks Steve. You have my vote.
Another agreed, “👏👏👏👏 you have our VOTE !!!”
While Vanderpump has yet to respond to Lodge’s comments, TomTom said its “priority has always been the protection” of its staff and guests.
