With the spread of COVID in our community, additional measures are being taken to protect the safety of inpatients, visitors and healthcare workers. Starting Wednesday, August 11, Cottage Health Hospitals in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Santa Ynez Valley will implement the recent California Department of Public Health order requiring visitors to check for completed COVID-19 vaccination or a test result. COVID-19 negative within 72 hours before each visit.

Staff at the hospital entrances will assist visitors with this selection process. To prepare, we ask hospital visitors to arrive with their vaccination record card (printed or saved as a picture on the phone), their vaccination record from MyChart or the digital QR code available on myvaccinerecord .cdph.ca.gov.

If the vaccination has not been completed, visitors will need a printed or digital copy of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of arrival.

All visitors and hospital staff, regardless of immunization status, are required to wear a mask at all times in all Cottage Health facilities. This is vital to protect pediatric patients too young to receive the vaccine and immunocompromised patients who are more vulnerable to COVID.
