LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County Genealogical Society will hold its first in-person meeting since the pandemic on Tuesday, September 14 at 7 p.m. at the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven (next to the Heisey Museum).

The meeting will include a presentation by Linda Stager, author of the Pine Creek Rails to Trails guide, who will discuss the fascinating history of the Pine Creek Valley that straddles the Clinton-Lycoming County Line. The public is cordially invited and there is no charge.

While the company is returning to its physical meeting location, both near and far company members can join the meeting by Zoom link.

The latest company post will also be available for purchase during the meeting. The registers of the Lutheran Church of Zion, Renovo and the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bitume contain more than 1,000 pages of information transcribed from the registers of these two churches, including baptisms, marriages, funeral, member registers and communicants, covering the period 1881 to 2016. This complete and unpublished resource is available in 2 volumes, $ 70 for members and $ 75 for non-members.

The Clinton County Genealogical Society is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the public trace their ancestors in Clinton County and beyond, through educational programs and the publication of local documents.
