A new PS5 has been released in Australia but don’t get too upset

There is an update Playstation 5 on store shelves in Australia. This new SKU, however, features the smallest changes from the original PS5.

PS5s with model number CFI-1102A started selling in Australia over the weekend, according to a Press Start report on Friday. The two changes in the new version are a 300 gram weight difference and a new base screw.

That’s it.

The launch of the PS5 weighs 3.9 kg, or 8.6 pounds, and the new SKU is a lightweight 3.6 kg, or 7.9 pounds. It is not yet clear where Sony has succeeded in reducing the fat, but it could be in various places on the big console.

As for the new screw, the launch PS5s had a base screw that required the use of a screwdriver, coin, or even a fingernail. The new version has a larger screw with a handle so that it can be screwed in by hand.

Sony did not immediately respond to questions about when this new model will arrive in the United States and other countries.
