“We love to make American food with a twist, so we love to make a traditional breakfast, ”said Ryan Marek, owner and chef of Bayside Restaurant.
He turns the basics into brand new bites at Petoskey Restaurant.
“In a lot of Benedictines they use English muffins, we like to change it and do things a little bit differently, so we’ll go pretzel in the toaster,” Ryan said.
And then this ultimate Benedictine pig will be stacked.
“We like big portions, we like to cover as much as possible,” he said. “When the food comes to the table we love that people pull out their phones to take pictures, they talk about the food while they sit there and let it cool, you know everyone loves it. “
Another perfect dish is the minced prime rib.
A savory blend of potatoes, prime rib, onions and peppers, and beautifully topped with poached eggs and freshly made Hollandaise sauce each morning.
When you see which restaurant Bayside cooks up for breakfast, you might just want to stick around for lunch.
The goal of this Bay’s Big Burger is to stack the homemade haystack onions as high as possible.
“Their reaction to their face on that first bite made my day for sure,” he said.
If you would like to visit the Bayside Restaurant, you can find them at 3890 Charlevoix Ave # 290 in Petoskey, or you can reach them at (231) 622-8298.
