FALCONER – A 31-year-old Falconer who allegedly held another person at the tip of a knife during a bonfire is found in the Chautauqua County Jail this morning.
The Ellicott Police Department announced the arrest of Robert A. Arguelles after officers were called at around 5:20 a.m. at the 200 block of East Everett Street. Retail Kevin Pierce said Arguelles was at a bonfire in Falconer when he put a knife on another person’s neck, reached into the victim’s pocket, pulled out a wallet and took around $ 300 .
Arguelles then fled the scene but was located by officers on West Main Street marching towards Jamestown. The resident of the village was then identified as the person involved in the theft.
Arguelles was taken to the county jail at 7:40 a.m. and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott City Court on first-degree theft and second-degree threat charges.
