Tickets for the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions, which runs January 6-9 at the Kapalua Plantation Course, go on sale today.

This will be the 24th year Maui will host the event as it kicks off the calendar year with a group of players who have won PGA Tour events in 2021.

Urban said the executive order of Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino that sporting events would not allow fans from September 15 – a plan that will be reassessed 30 days later – is constantly under discussion among all. parties involved. “We, as the PGA Tour, have a whole team of health and safety experts,” said Urbain. “We’ve been following the CDC’s guidelines and recommendations roughly on a ‘T’, especially over the past 18 months since the start of the pandemic. The PGA Tour has hosted a number of events, starting with this “comeback to golf” 18 months ago with these guidelines from the CDC.

“I think that says enough about how seriously we take health and safety seriously and how successful these events are. We work closely with Mayor Victorino. And that’s exactly what he told us.

There is room for the Sentry event to go ahead with ticket sales, Urban explained.

“We worked with the mayor and the county’s announcement of the new ‘Safer Outdoors’ policy, and she specifically called for sporting events,” said Urbain. “But talking to the mayor, there’s this provision in there for business events. So the Sentry Tournament of Champions, PGA Tour, is part of that and we’ll be working with the county on that exemption.

This year’s tournament in January was limited to around 200 fans per day, all with limited access to the green area on the 18th hole. The plan has changed for 2022.

“Of course, after an extremely limited version of our event last year, we’re hoping to do something that’s more like a throwback to previous years. “ said Urbain.

Daily tickets give access to the Plantation Course, starting at $ 25 for Wednesday for the pro-am, $ 40 for Thursday and Friday, $ 50 for Saturday and $ 60 for Sunday.

The Kama’aina ticket option presented by Southwest Airlines will provide discounted tickets to residents of Hawaii with valid photo ID, starting at $ 25 for Thursday and Friday, $ 30 for Saturday and $ 45 for Sunday.

New for 2022 is The Lookout, an exclusive seating area near the 11th hole tee that overlooks Honolua Bay. Ticket holders will receive personalized included food and drink, as well as access to the Aloha Club and viewing area near tee # 1.

Organizers said in a press release that “The Lookout is the ultimate package to fully experience the Sentry Tournament of Champions.”

The Lookout is available at $ 10,000 for two weekly tickets and $ 18,000 for four weekly tickets.

The Lanai at the Clubhouse is a new clubhouse experience in 2022. This structure will allow fans to have a vantage point to watch the game on the 18th hole, with enhanced food and drink for purchase. Tickets start at $ 150 for Thursday and Friday, $ 160 for Saturday, and $ 180 for Sunday.

The Aloha Club is the exclusive venue for the 18th hole, offering views of the green, an all-inclusive food and beverage experience, and privileged parking for all ticket buyers. Reserved tables are available and may be branded with the company logo. Aloha Club tickets are available at $ 1,250, which is good Thursday through Sunday.
