The second part allows an elector to choose a replacement candidate from a list of 46 candidates. If the recall obtains the Yes majority to question 1, then whoever has the most votes among the replacement candidates (regardless of their number and even if they do not obtain a majority) will become governor at the end of October.

Awareness of veterans

The Pleasanton Public Library (400 Old Bernal Ave.) will host the VA Palo Alto Mobile Medical Outreach Team to facilitate examinations, consultations and referrals for enlisted military veterans.

The drop-in event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, September 13 in front of the library. VA representatives will be able to provide information to veterans, spouses, caregivers, family members and survivors and assist with the registration of veterans for VA care.

“Sports final of the three valleys”

TV30 has brought back “Tri-Valley Sports Final” for its 17th season covering high school team and individual sports in the Tri-Valley, with hosts Ian Bartholomew and Tim Sbranti.

Throughout the 2021-22 season, one outstanding athlete will be selected by TV30’s sports staff as “Athlete of the Week” – the first recipient was Foothill quarterback Nick Walsh. Watch on your cable channel or at tv30.org.
