Images are grainy in the era of high definition.

Faded footage of cloudy late October afternoons with brown jerseys against the crisp white and red helmets. Reputations at stake with national championships stake.

NebraskaOklahoma was not so much a rivalry as a rite of passage accompanied by a test of will. Osborne against Switzerland. Johnny Rodgers vs. Greg Pruitt. The “Game of the Century” in 1971. All of them merge into a game of passion that has decided the Big 8 for years.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of that No.1 vs. No.2 game in Norman over Thanksgiving weekend, the two sides will meet on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium (Noon ET, FOX) for the first time since Nebraska Large 12 starting in 2010. The teams are different now, with the Oklahoma No.3 a legitimate contender for a national championship and the Cornhuskers trying to stabilize a shaky program under Scott Frost.

Here are the questions for this week and some predictions for the questions for this Saturday.

What will the total combined score be at half-time?
Options: 0-28, 29-34, 35-41, 50-58, 59+

In the first two weeks, Oklahoma showed their ability to score a ton of points in the first half – throwing 37 against Tulane then 45 against Western Kentucky. Oklahoma quarterback Spencer rattler threw five touchdown passes in those two games. Nebraska were slow at the start – 14 points in the first half against Buffalo last week, 24 against Fordham, nine against Illinois – which shows that it will not be the dominant heavy offensive force in this game.

Prediction: 35-41 points

Which team will have the longest rushed game and how long will it last?
Options: Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tie and with different ranges of yards

This is where the Nebraska quarterback Adrien martinez could be a huge factor. The double-threat quarterback has had two runs over 70 yards this year. While the Oklahoma defense might not be giving up that sort of distance, it’s also fair to think that Martinez could end up with a big win at some point along the way.

Prediction: Nebraska, 35-39

Who will have the most rushing yards and how many?
Options: Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tie with a scale of 0-276 + yards on the ground

It is in the DNA of the Cornhuskers to have a good racing game. However, the only thing that might throw this equation out the window is if they fall far behind early and have to succeed in order to survive. This is how Oklahoma kept their opponents at an average of 77 rushing yards in two games. It could be that way again.

Prediction: Oklahoma, 151-175

Who will have the most passing yards and how many?
Options: Nebraska, Oklahoma, tied at 0-376 + passing yards

It sounds strange to say this, but Rattler’s Heisman Trophy campaign will kick off in earnest here with a huge audience on national television. The Huskers have allowed an average of 183 passing yards per game in the first three weeks. It’s not Buffalo or Fordham, however. The only way Oklahoma doesn’t have a lot more passing yards at the end of this one is for Riley to cancel the dogs.

Prediction: Oklahoma, 376+ yards

Who will have the most offensive yards and how many?
Options: Nebraska, Oklahoma, tied on a scale of 0-576 + offensive yards

Again, it depends on where you stand on how this game will play out overall. Nebraska could end up winning this category with plenty of yards in the second half if Oklahoma decides to pull out after a big first half. The best bet, however, is to assume that the margin the Sooners are going to post will be quite substantial.

Prediction: Oklahoma 501-525

Which team will win and by how many points?
Options: Nebraska, Oklahoma with ranges of 1 to 21+ points

“Guys in the Wilderness” and at FOX Bet Sportsbook have the Sooners as the 22.5-point favorites on Saturday afternoon. For all the pomp and celebration – and as great as it is to see the two teams face off again – the rule of thumb is, which team is better? Oklahoma is doing a lot better right now.

Prediction: Oklahoma, 21+
