A 26-year-old man has died in a shooting incident in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx.
On Saturday, September 18, at approximately 10:35 p.m., police responded to a call about an assault inside 3400 Wickham Avenue, Apt. 4, located in the 47th arrondissement. Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old man lying unconscious and unconscious in the hallway with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
EMS intervened and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased is withheld pending notification of the family.
