Chris Rock has COVID: “Trust me you don’t want this. To get vaccinated.’

Chris Rock has become the latest celebrity to report a COVID-19 infection.

“Hey guys, just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want that,” Rock tweeted on Sunday. “To get vaccinated.”

Rock, 56, has a home in Alpine. His COVID-19 case is a breakthrough, meaning he tested positive and developed symptoms after being fully immunized.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show” in May, the actor and comedian told Jimmy Fallon that he received the single dose Johnson & Johnson / Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.

“You know, I also skipped the line to get the shot,” Rock said. ” I did not care. I used my celebrity, Jimmy. I did not care. I was like, ‘Hey, step aside, Betty White. Stand aside, old folks. Judge Judy, fuck my ass. I did “Pootie Tang”. Leave me in the first row. I was like Billy Zane on the Titanic.

In 2001, Rock and his then-wife Malaak Compton purchased a $ 3 million Alpine home, which they shared with their daughters Lola and Zahra.

Rock said in his 2018 Netflix comedy special “Tamborine” that when he separated from Compton – they are divorced – he bought a house “around the corner” to be near his now teenage daughters. He told The Hollywood Reporter he learned to swim during the pandemic and can finally use his New Jersey pool.

High-profile cases of COVID-19 continue to make headlines. Talk show host Wendy Williams, who grew up in Ocean Township, announced on Wednesday that her show’s new season would be delayed because she tested positive for COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated.
