seniors of Fort Dodge Senior High throughout the school year.

1. What programs and activities do you participate in?

I played basketball all four years at Fort Dodge Senior High.

2. What academic achievement are you most proud of?

I am proud to say that I have never failed a course and had to repeat the process. Do it the first time. If you simply show up and do the daily work, you will be successful.

3. What is your best advice for younger students?

My advice for underclassmen is to just be brave. Try new things, be ready to meet new people. Stay involved in extracurricular activities. You meet new people and they even become a small family. High school goes by fast, so when something new comes in front of you, take the opportunity to do great things.

4. What is your favorite song or artist?

My favorite song is “Party in the USA” because the girls and I would play it before every game. Paytene always had all the old jams ready when we walked into the locker room.

5. What is your favorite class or subject and why?

I like my social psychology class with Mr. Takatsuka because everyone is involved. It’s a class of nine so we can all speak out and discuss together.

6. What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie that I love to watch every year is “Alone at home.” It’s always a good time to get into the Christmas spirit.

7. If you could have dinner with a famous person, who would it be and why?

I had dinner with Kobe Bryant because he was my favorite basketball player and I always loved watching him play. I hope I have some new advice from him and maybe he can teach me some moves!

8. What are you working hardest on right now?

The hardest thing I’m working on right now is trying to come together for the real world. Preparing to graduate and start a new chapter is crazy, but it’s exciting.

9. Who is your role model in life?

My role model is my mom, Carrie. She has always been a good person to admire in so many ways. She is a hard worker and always gets the job done.

10. What is your favorite memory of your time at Fort Dodge schools?

My favorite memory goes back to Butler Elementary when we had Domino’s pizza every Friday or at Fort Dodge Middle School in eighth grade when I blew up and the crowd went crazy. A good memory at Fort Dodge Senior High would be a homecoming. It was the first and last I have been to since, due to COVID. My favorite is playing basketball with my friends and being with my teammates.
