Two from Deschutes County, one from Crook County
PORTLAND, Oregon (KTVZ) – There have been 25 new COVID-19-related deaths in Oregon in the past three days, three in central Oregon, bringing the state’s death toll to 3 594, the Oregon Health Authority reported on Monday.
Central Oregon Health Services reported that three of the 25 deaths were from area residents, two from Deschutes County, bringing the county’s tally to 102 deaths, and one from Crook County, where the toll. increased to 38.
The OHA also reported 3,359 new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases as of 12:01 a.m. Monday, bringing the state total to 313,161.
The 25 new deaths and 3,349 new cases reported on Monday include data recorded by counties for the 3-day period between Friday, September 17 and Sunday, September 19.
Vaccinations in Oregon
The OHA reported on Monday that 7,996 new doses of COVID-19 vaccine were added to the state’s immunization registry on Sunday. Of this total, 558 were administered on September 9: 262 were initial doses, 273 were second doses and 20 were third doses. The other 4,400 were administered the previous days but were entered in the vaccine registry on Sunday.
The seven-day moving average is now 7,996 doses per day.
Oregon has now administered 2,919,890 doses of Pfizer Comirnaty, 1,887,420 doses of Moderna and 210,541 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
As of Monday, 2,707,467 people had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 2,470,161 people had completed a series of COVID-19 vaccines.

COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of hospital patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 968, one less than Sunday. There are 278 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, one more than Sunday.
There are 63 adult intensive care beds available out of a total of 651 (10% availability) and 330 adult non-ICU beds available out of 4,246 (8% availability).

St. Charles Bend reported 97 COVID-19 patients Monday morning, 15 of whom were in intensive care, 14 of whom were on ventilators. Two of the 15 intensive care patients were fully immunized, while 13 of the total 97 patients were fully immunized.
The total number of patients in hospital beds may fluctuate between reporting times. Figures do not reflect admissions per day or length of hospital stay. Staff limitations are not captured in this data and may further limit bed capacity.

Oregon is reporting 1,597 confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases on September 17, 996 new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases on September 18, and 766 new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases on September 19.
