Police are looking for witnesses after elderly bus was involved in car crash last Tuesday [September 14]
Irvine officials are seeking information following a car accident on the Kilwinning road in Irvine.
At around 4 p.m., a yellow shuttle was heading for Kilwinning near Carrick Drive in Irvine. When the car in front suddenly turned around without warning, the emergency brake was applied.
A 72-year-old woman who was a passenger on a bus was thrown from her seat, seriously injured in the forehead and had to be treated in hospital.
PC Terry of the Irvine Police Station said: “This is a traumatic event for the injured passenger and we thank the other passengers for providing her with immediate first aid and peace of mind.”
“We would like to inform anyone who may have witnessed the incident, who has information to help, or who may have a dashcam footage from Irvine’s Kilwinning Road, 09/14. I invite you to contact us on 101, citing incident 2058. Thank you. ”
