A suspicious device report in the town of Woodway on Tuesday morning turned out to be a homemade explosive device which was removed by the Everett Police Department’s demining team.
That’s according to Edmonds Police, who contract with Woodway to provide policing services.
A City of Woodway employee found the device on a playground in the 24000 block of West 113th Place – near Woodway Town Hall – around 10 a.m., the deputy chief said. Edmonds Acting Police, Josh McClure. Edmonds Police called the Everett Police Clearance Team, who removed the homemade explosive.
Police said there were no injuries and no known suspicious information.
