PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – There are 30 new COVID-19-related deaths in Oregon, bringing the state’s death toll to 3,624, the Oregon Health Authority reported on Tuesday.
The OHA also reported 1,707 new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases as of 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, bringing the state total to 314,841.
Update of the dashboard of public health indicators
The OHA updated the Public Health Indicator Dashboard summary tables on Tuesday to include numbers in addition to percentages for 1) emergency department visits for COVID-19-type illness visits , 2) timely follow-up of cases by local public health units, and 3) cases linked to a known source. These dashboards are published weekly on Tuesday with the most recent full week data. An error was identified and corrected in the calculation of the percentage of COVID-19-type illnesses, aligning the dashboard of public health indicators with emergency service data published daily in the COVID-19 update of the ‘Oregon.
COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of hospital patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 944, down 24 from Monday. There are 264 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, down 14 from Monday.
There are 59 adult intensive care beds available out of a total of 655 (9% uptime) and 347 adult non-ICU beds available out of 4,280 (8% uptime).

As of Tuesday morning, St. Charles Bend reported 88 patients with COVID-19, including 15 in intensive care, including 12 on ventilators. Two of 15 intensive care patients have been fully vaccinated and 16 of the total 88 patients have been fully vaccinated, officials said.
The total number of patients in hospital beds can fluctuate from time to time. Figures do not reflect admissions per day or length of hospital stay. Staff limitations are not captured in this data and may further limit bed capacity.

Vaccinations in Oregon
The OHA reported on Tuesday that 7,500 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines were added to the state’s immunization registry on Monday. Of that total, 3,206 were administered on Monday: 1,322 were initial doses, 1,293 were second doses and 563 were third doses. The remaining 4,294 were administered the previous days, but were entered in the vaccine registry on September 20.
The seven-day moving average is now 7,754 doses per day.
Oregon has now administered 2,925,018 doses of Pfizer Comirnaty, 1,889,267 doses of Moderna and 211,054 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
As of Tuesday, 2,710,562 people had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 2,474,067 people had completed a series of COVID-19 vaccines.
