5 COVID-19 deaths reported in Northern State on Tuesday

BUTTE COUNTY, California – A person aged 35 to 44 has died from the coronavirus in Butte County, according to Butte County Public Health (BCPH).

BCPH said the person was not vaccinated and had no significant underlying health issues.

There have now been 229 deaths in Butte County from the coronavirus and 125 hospitalized.

Shasta County Health and Human Services (SCHHS) reported three new deaths on Tuesday.

Authorities have said two men over 89 and a woman in her 50s have died from COVID-19.

There were 17 people in intensive care Monday in Shasta County and 851 active cases. There were 78 people in the hospital with COVID-19, according to data sent by the SCHHHS.

A death was reported Tuesday in Trinity County, according to Trinity County Public Health. The person was not vaccinated and was 80 years old.
