The UN flag will be lowered on Wednesday September 22 in memory of UN employee Janine Brooks, who died on September 12, 2021 at the age of 55.
The flag of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UN) will be lowered on Wednesday, September 22, in memory of UN employee Janine Brooks.
Janine died on September 12, 2021 at the age of 55. She had been a collaborator in the chemistry department since 2008 and was also a former UN student, earning a master’s degree in English in 2018.
Janine is survived by her daughter Allye; parents Duane and Janice; sisters and brother: Jeanette Herron, Bobbie, Pat, Diane Costanzo and Katie.
A service took place for Janine on Saturday September 18th.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with those close to Janine during this time.
