HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii reported 12 new coronavirus-related deaths on Wednesday, bringing the state’s death toll to 726.
So far this month, Hawaii alone has recorded 137 COVID-related deaths.
The state said eight of Wednesday’s deaths were on Oahu while four were on the island of Hawaii:
Oahu
- Woman in her forties, hospitalized
- Woman in her fifties, hospitalized
- Three men in their sixties hospitalized
- Woman in her sixties, hospitalized
- Two octogenarian women hospitalized
Island of hawaii
- Man in his 30s, hospitalized
- Man in his 60s, hospitalized
- Man in his eighties hospitalized
- Octogenarian woman hospitalized
Meanwhile, the state also recorded 330 new COVID-19 infections on Wednesday.
The new cases bring the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic to 76,521.
Among the new infections reported on Wednesday:
- 216 were on Oahu
- 38 on the island of Hawaii
- 43 in Maui
- 29 on Kauai
- 2 on Molokai
There were also two residents diagnosed out of state.
In the past 14 days, 7,106 cases have been reported.
Some 66.8% of the state’s population are fully immunized, while 75.3% have received at least one dose.
