– Abbey Vanhorn, 22, Newgarden Avenue, was cited for violation of right of way and temporary permit after the northbound vehicle she was driving on Lundy Avenue stopped at the stop sign and crossed East Second Street, being struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Bryanna Vangiesen, 20, Lisbon, at 9.42pm Thursday. Airbags were deployed in the Vangiesen vehicle, but there were no injuries. Firefighters and KLG arrived but no medical attention was required. Sinsley Towing pulled the Vangiesen vehicle off the road.
– Police responded at 11:34 p.m. on Saturday to investigate a dispute in the Rose Avenue and Third Street area. The parties were gone on arrival.
-A loose dog was reported at 7:06 PM Saturday in Block 600 of Newgarden. The dog was taken to a safe place until the owner could be reached.
–A report of an allegedly defective traffic light was received at 12:35 p.m. on Saturday in the North Madison and East State area.
– An anonymous woman reported at 3:06 p.m. Friday that she had received a notification of a pending case from the Ohio Employment and Family Services requesting financial assistance and that she never had made a request.
– A suspicious vehicle was reported at 4:06 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Continental Drive.
–A caller reported at 7:68 p.m. on Friday that a vintage bike he was working on was missing behind his residence in the 200 block of East Fifth Street. The case remains under investigation.
– The cell phones were picked up Friday at 7:30 a.m. from the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue and the 2700 block of East State Street.
– Noise complaints were received at 11:20 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of East Fifth Street, 10:18 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Union Avenue and 4:40 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of East Third Street.
– Police investigated a complaint about a male subject crawling through an opening in a garage in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 7:07 p.m.
– An officer disposed of a needle found at the intersection of Cleveland Street and Hawley Avenue at 4:43 p.m. Friday.
– Welfare checks were carried out on Friday at 1 p.m. in the 2200 block of Oak Street and at 5:56 p.m. in the 1800 block of Fairview Court. The individuals were doing well.
–A man reported at 8:40 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue that he was being harassed by cell phone. The request will be forwarded to the prosecutor for possible charges.
–A woman reported at 8:51 p.m. on Friday in the 700 block of East Fourth Street that she was being threatened with offending photos and videos by an ex.
–A woman from Ravenna reported at 5:39 p.m. on Friday that her vehicle was involved in a private property accident in the 1900 block of East State Street, but the other vehicle fled.
– Claude Kidder and Spencer Cross were involved in an accident involving two vehicles at 12:27 p.m. Saturday in the Romine Alley area, where they allegedly collided while backing up the alley. No citation was issued.
– Two intoxicated subjects behind the Speedway gas station at 10:43 p.m. Saturday were sent home.
– Police responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 4:48 p.m. on Saturday over a reported neighbor dispute.
– The agents responded on Saturday at 10:37 p.m. in the 500 block of Granite Avenue for an argument between neighbors. Firefighters were called in to put out a small fire in a pit. The complainant did not wish to file a complaint.
– While at the scene on another call in the 300 block of Rose, officers were notified at 3:43 a.m. on Saturday of damage to a vehicle caused by a subject who had had a verbal altercation with the owner of the vehicle and kicked the driver’s side entrance door. The person was advised that the owner would be the one making the report.
–A mattress was discovered abandoned at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday in Bentley’s 2500 block.
–A woman called police at 1:55 p.m. Saturday to express her displeasure with her care in a 200 block from Continental Drive. Upon arrival, the police told her that this was not a police matter and that she should contact her family if she wanted to leave the facility.
–A city officer was dispatched with police at 3:37 p.m. Saturday to block 300 of West Ninth Street for two dogs at large.
– Police and firefighters responded at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street. A man, who was attempting to steal fuel from a vehicle, had his finger stuck in the vehicle’s gas tank and they had to release it before transporting him to the Salem Regional Medical Center. The owner did not wish to file a complaint.
–A man reported at 2:04 a.m. Saturday in the Lincoln Avenue and Pershing Street area that he had been threatened by another man, who denied the allegations.
– A two-vehicle accident involving Charles Smith and Brandon Smith at 1:44 p.m. Saturday at a stop sign near Penn Avenue and State Street. No citation was issued.
COLOMBIANA REPORTS
– Officers received a report of criminal damage from an address on Springfield Road Thursday morning.
– Alexis Koziorynski, 30, of Columbiana was arrested on an active warrant during a traffic stop on State Route 14 near County Line Road Thursday night.
