Soft! Cardinals win 16th in a row, advance 9th, best Cubs

Forecast: Warm start to the week, rain possible in a few days

Sunday’s high reached 89 degrees and due to the very hot overnight lows, there is no reason we shouldn’t see our highs climbing into the 90 degree range this afternoon. Expect lots of sun today and another dry and blustery southwest wind at 15-25 mph. Relative humidity will be around 30-40% today.

Temperatures will not too often reach the 90s this late in September (or this late in the year). Our record highs for Monday and Tuesday are 93 and 99 degrees respectively. The last average date to reach 90 degrees is September 15, but is closer to September 11 during the last 30-year climatological period.

As of Wednesday, cloud cover will increase due to an upper-level storm system that will become more aerial. Rain will still be somewhat limited, but will become more likely on Thursday and eventually end on Friday.
