Bears coach Matt Nagy is not yet sure who will be his starting quarterback against the Lions on Sunday.
Nagy said today that Andy Dalton is still recovering from his knee injury, Justin Fields is recovering from a hand injury and only Nick Foles is perfectly healthy, so the Bears will have to see how the week goes before decide who will start on Sunday.
“They’re all three under consideration right now,” Nagy said. “We know where Nick is from a health perspective, but we just want to keep an eye on Justin and Andy.”
Nagy said Fields’ x-rays were negative on his hand, while Dalton is still seen week to week with his knee injury. It looks like Fields is the most likely to start right now, but the Bears just don’t know which quarterback will be on the court against the Lions just yet.
What Nagy does know is that his offense has to be a lot better than Sunday against the Browns, otherwise it will soon be another coach who decides who the starting quarterback is.
