The American Heart Association has announced that the Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk is back in person at Rocky Neck State Park on Saturday, October 2, presented by Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.
Patrick L. Green, President and CEO of L + M, chairs it.
Heart Walk is expected to bring in $ 275,000.
“The Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk promotes health and wellness while supporting the rescue work of the American Heart Association,” said Green. “We are grateful for the support of the Eastern Connecticut community which continues to support research vital to the fight against heart disease and stroke.”
Heartwalking will begin at 10 a.m., according to national and local guidelines. Heart Walk attendees are encouraged to follow the American Heart Association’s Connecticut Facebook page to make the experience more fun.
The Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk encourages physical activity while raising funds to support research, advocacy and awareness of heart disease and stroke.
