David Bernard Shrock died on Wednesday September 15, 2021 of an apparent heart attack.

David was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 8, 1932, the son of the late Ruth (Markham) and Bernard Alan Shrock. He grew up in Oscoda, Michigan, graduating from Oscoda High School. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, returning to Oscoda, Michigan, until he attended and graduated from Michigan State University and the Detroit School of Law.

After retiring from Chrysler in 1989, he enjoyed skiing, hunting, hiking, scuba diving and exploring the western canyons.

On August 1, 2003, David married Sally Blake Teague, his best friend from high school days, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

The survivors are his wife Sally, his son David Shrock Jr., his son Paul (Tiffany) Shrock and his daughter Annie (Bob) Cook, his granddaughters Kenzie Shrock, Ashley Cook, his grandsons Andrew Shrock, Sean Shrock and Christopher Cook, his stepchildren LeJean (Mike) Carter, Donnie Teague, LeAnn (Bill) Wilson, John (Rebecca) Teague and Joseph (Kari) Teague, and his kitten, Solomon. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Kim, Kristy, Jeff, Sarah, Ashley, Corey and Heather, and three great-grandchildren, Ansley Donovan, Jackson Donovan and Addie Teague.

Mr. Shrock was predeceased by two sisters, Annie Shrock and Mary Shrock.

Cremation arrangements are handled by AJ Desmond & Sons funeral home.

A private service will take place at a later date.

Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Oscoda, Michigan.

Memorials at All Saints Parish.
