INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) – Austrian technology company Emarsys, which is headquartered in North America in Indianapolis, has a new chief executive. Joanna Milliken has been appointed to this role after serving as CX Marketing Manager for SAP in Germany (NYSE: SAP), which acquired Emarsys Last year.
Milliken succeeds Ohad Hect, who is stepping down after 12 years at Emarsys, including five as CEO. Milliken previously held positions at ExactTarget until its acquisition by Salesforce, after which she served as senior vice president of product management for Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
“It has been extremely exciting to see the evolution of marketing, how marketers were fighting for a seat at the table but are now charged with making an impact on the overall customer experience,” said Milliken in a press release. “It’s not a task, it’s a privilege and I am very motivated to work in partnership with marketers to shape their business for real results at this critical time. That’s why, at Emarsys, we are committed to empowering the marketer.
Emarsys has developed an omnichannel customer engagement platform. The company says it has seen a 10% year-over-year increase in sales of new companies around the world since the announcement of the SAP acquisition.
The company says it is currently hiring for its next phase of growth in areas such as marketing, sales and partnerships around the world, including at Indy.
Milliken will be the guest of this weekend’s edition of Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick to talk more about his appointment and his vision for the company. You can watch the Sunday show at 10 a.m. on WISH-TV.
