ATLANTA – If you were out Thursday night, you’d be in for a treat.
Part of the SpaceX Dragon capsule was seen hovering across parts of Georgia and the southeast as it arrived for a landing in the Atlantic Ocean near the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Many people in Georgia saw a trail of light and even a boom around 10:30 p.m.

Many people contacted Channel 2 Action News about what they were seeing and the sky. Many said they heard a boom that rocked their homes.
According to SpaceX, the Dragon landing has been confirmed successfully, completing SpaceX’s 23rd cargo refueling mission to the International Space Station.
SpaceX said the capsule is visible in parts of Florida and Georgia.
Some have reported seeing the capsule re-entering the atmosphere with a similar resemblance to a meteor.
