SUMMARY: Chances of rain return to forecast in the form of scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon. As a front approaches the area on Sunday, the chances of rain become much more prevalent. Chances of rain diminish for Monday, with only scattered showers until Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid-80s on Saturday, lows in the 80s Sunday through Tuesday, and in the 70s for the rest of the week.
SATURDAY: A dry start to the day, but in the afternoon scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the region. Otherwise, partly to mostly cloudy with a maximum in the mid-1980s.
SATURDAY NIGHT: The rain subsides for Saturday evening, with only one or two showers possible. Minimums in the mid-1960s under mostly cloudy skies.
SUNDAY: Much more extensive rain for Sunday, with cloud cover lingering for much of the day. Some rains can sometimes be abundant. The highs will be in the upper 70s to the lower 80s.
SUNDAY NIGHT: As the cold front clears the area, the rain will stop from west to east, with only a few late night showers persisting. The sky will be mostly cloudy with a minimum in the mid-1960s.
NEW WORKING WEEK (MON-FRI): Scattered showers are forecast for Monday and Tuesday, with a maximum in the 1970s above nearly 80 degrees. The lows will be above around 60 degrees in the 1950s. Things are drying up even more for Wednesday, with cooler temperatures in the upper 70s and only a downpour or 2. Thursday and Friday appear to be much drier, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper mid 70s, and troughs in the upper 1950s.
TROPICS: Nothing to worry about for the southeast in the coming days. October can still have some hard-hitting storms, so we’ll continue to monitor!
