- The Dawgs came out with a 75-yard opening drive for a touchdown. This half is the best Dawgs racing game of the season.
- Crowds are a huge factor at the start. The Razorback’s offense suffered two consecutive false starts as they lined up to execute their first game.
- Georgia’s defense is more dominant than ever. They rushed to football. Arkansas managed to find some success late in the first quarter, but the Dawg’s defense rallied.
- Special teams have been a killer for Arkansas this game. A blocked punt gave the Dawgs a free touchdown and the Razorbacks missed a field goal. This is on top of a failed kickoff return that forced them from inside their 15s.
- In addition to their special teams, misfortune penalties were a major issue for Arkansas. The Razorbacks received 5-yard penalties in the first half.
- Georgia’s offense seemed to shake at the end of the half. The block seemed to be receding. It will be something to watch out for for the rest of the game.
