TL; DR

  • Another leak of the upcoming Google Pixel 6 has been posted on YouTube, focusing on the Pixel 6 Pro camera.
  • The post includes photos and video clips taken from the camera.
  • The phone is still expected to launch in mid-October.

As we patiently wait for Google to finally give us the official detail of what the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can do, more and more leaks of this highly anticipated smartphone continue to make their way to the internet. The latest leak shows photos and images taken from a Pixel 6 Pro.

The new Pixel 6 Pro camera leak comes from Mr. Brandon Lee of the It’s technology today Youtube channel. It has been a reliable source of leaks lately, and this information about the Pixel 6 camera apparently comes from an unidentified source in Nigeria. The source had access to a Pixel 6 Pro and took photos and videos with the smartphone’s camera. Lee pointed out that the images and clips were taken with pre-production software with a source who is not a professional photographer.

That being said, the photos included in the Pixel 6 Pro camera video show some solid detail in the settings which were taken mid-afternoon on an overcast day. The photos also show solid contrast and do not distort the background images. Video clips don’t look so good. This is mainly due to the fact that the stabilization of the camera is not that stable. Again, it is possible that this will improve with the final software.

Just a quick reminder: the standard Pixel 6 might have a 50MP main rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The Pixel 6 Pro could have both of these cameras, plus a 48MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom. This new leak also shows a close-up of the Pixel 6 Pro’s larger 6.71-inch display with its curved display.

Stay tuned as we’ll likely have even more Pixel 6 leaks before Google finally officially launches this smartphone (hopefully) later in October.
