MADISON, Wisconsin – With booster injections now approved for many Americans, Dane County public health officials are making it easier for eligible people to receive their next injection with a new vaccination clinic.
Madison and Dane County Public Health on Thursday announced plans to establish a temporary vaccination clinic in the Arena building of the Alliant Energy Center, which will provide the first and second doses of the vaccine to anyone 12 years of age and older, in plus booster shots for those who qualify.
The opening of the clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12. It will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“This clinic will be different from the previous clinic that we had installed on the grounds of the Alliant Energy Center for several reasons. First, it’s in a different part of the facility and second, people will park and walk around, unlike the previous approach behind the wheel, ”said Sarah Hughes, COVID-19 Vaccine Assistant for Public Health at Madison and Dane County.
