Police activities stopped Ga. 400 south at Alpharetta for hours on Wednesday morning.
All southbound lanes were blocked around 6:30 am, when Alpharetta police began handling the situation at the Haynes Bridge Road exit sign.
About two hours later, the authorities reversed traffic to the south.
The halls reopened just before 8:40, when police announced the safe resolution of the activity causing the shutdown.
