Macleods Pharmaceuticals Limited is voluntarily recalling a batch of Losartan potassium and hydrochlorothiazide combination tablets due to the detection of traces of an unexpected impurity (NDEA), according to the FDA.
N-Nitrosodiethylamine, or NDEA, has been classified as a probable carcinogen to humans, which means that it could cause cancer.
