LIMA – The people of Lima once again have a place to relax.
Thursday afternoon marked the reopening of Relaxing Just Right. The Lima-Allen County Chamber of Commerce commemorated this moment with an official ribbon cutting. The massage therapy business opened in June 2019, but had to close shortly thereafter due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now they’re fully open again in a new location at 209 W. Elm St., with a plethora of massage options to fit everyone’s budget and schedule.
Owner Nocosha Glover said business was great before the pandemic and the new location allows her to offer more services than ever. She brought in regular customers locally and from across the region.
“I reopened in March of this year, but still because of the COVID chaos, business has always persisted,” she said. “So I thought, get a new place and kind of just broaden the area of the business and expand it and see how many more people I can try to bring back.”
Relaxing Just Right offers everything from traditional Swedish massages to full body massage chairs, cupping therapy, hot stone therapy and more. Glover said massage chairs are popular among customers who are just looking for a quick break.
“Some people don’t have time to completely undress,” she said. “Some people are like, ‘Hey, I just wanna get in quick, massage, keep my clothes on,’ and that’s a quick 15-30 minute relaxation. You can just sit back, relax and enjoy 15, 30 minutes of relaxation.”
The chairs also proved to be an affordable option for visitors, starting at just $ 12 for a 15-minute session.
The massage business has been rewarding for Glover, who said one of his favorite parts of his job was seeing his clients’ reactions to the release.
“I love the way I make people feel,” she said. “As soon as they leave here, they’re just at a ‘wow’ moment. They’re like ‘oh my god this is what I really needed, I was so uptight.'”
