In his caption, Doherty urged fans to get screened for breast cancer regularly, writing, “I hope I encourage people to have mammograms, get regular checkups, get over the fear and do facing anything that might be in front of you. “

She concluded her article by expressing how much humor has helped her through the darker days.
“I cheered myself up by putting on some fun pajamas that my friend Kristy gave me. Did they really cheer me up? Yes !! Lol,” she added. “I looked silly and in that silly I was able to laugh at myself. Finding the humor helped me through what seemed impossible. I hope we all find the humor in it. ‘impossible.”
Last month, the former “BH90210” told People magazine that she felt compelled to speak publicly about living with cancer.
“I feel like I have a responsibility in my more public life, which I separate from my life as an actor… the star.
She added that her husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, has told her that no one would guess she has cancer these days because she doesn’t fuss about it.
“I never really complain. I’m not really talking about it. It’s part of life at this point, ”she said.
