WARREN, Pa .– The Warren County School Board has presented a united front in favor of mask mandates.

At a special meeting on Friday morning, all nine members voted to overturn previous decisions easing mask requirements in the district. There was no discussion on three of the points during the open session.

About 100 people, including board members, district staff, parents, students and others, were in line for the meeting.

Five people signed up to address the board – four did – all against the mask’s mandate.

The council approved motions overturning previous decisions to limit disciplinary penalties for students who do not wear masks on district transportation and to allow parents to exempt students from wearing masks without the need for medical documents .

The board also approved a revised health and safety plan and retained the services of a law firm.

All the votes were unanimous with the nine members present.

Further details will be published in Saturday’s edition of The Times Observer.
