Squid game has taken the world by storm since its release on Netflix just a few weeks ago. So much so, in fact, that it now seems that some in the video game industry have taken notice of its importance. And while a video game specifically associated with Squid game property is not known to be currently in the works, it seems that some developers in the industry are looking to adapt its format for themselves.
According to a certain Tom Henderson, who is an often reliable source of information on upcoming video games, a Squid game style project is currently underway. Henderson notes that he’s not sure which studio might be working on this project, but he says it will clearly be an evolution of the battle royale genre. “The future of [battle royale] is coming, ”he said on social media.
Apparently, a “SQUID GAME” type game is already in development.
I am not sure of the developer yet.

As some have been quick to point out in response to Henderson, fall guys is a title that already somehow reflects Squid game. In short, fall guys asks players to participate in a number of different activities during multiple events. The player who then remains standing at the end of all these games is then declared the winner.
For those who haven’t seen Squid game, the TV series works the same way and sees hundreds of players compete against each other through different games in an attempt to earn money. However, the big difference is that those who lose Squid game are executed, which is much more disastrous compared to fall guys. As such, maybe this new project that’s in the works could be aimed more at a mature audience than something like fall guys.
