Catch at least those
We already knew that 2019 would bring a new "core" of RPG Pokemon for Nintendo Switch, but until this week we knew practically nothing about it. The new games – in the typical Pokemon way, there are two different versions – have finally been revealed, they call Pokemon Sword and Shield. These games represent the eighth generation of Pokemon games and were featured during a brief Nintendo Direct broadcast that aired on Wednesday on the occasion of Pokemon Day. The revelation trailer showed the new Galar region, which seems to be inspired by England, the beginners of Generation 8, your coach and a number of Pokémon back.
The new Pokémon are one of the strong points of the new generation, but so far, the three starters have been revealed. But you never know, with a new Pokemon game, what the old Pokemon could make an appearance, so we have rounded all Pokemon from the Sword and Shield trailer below. Many Pokemon are newer games, including Sun and Moon, while some are older; each previous Pokemon generation is represented here. Almost all were shown in action.
It should be noted that the trailer seems to show the return of Pokemon's traditional fighting style during wild encounters, unlike the Pokemon Go inspired capture mechanisms featured in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. We have not seen Pokemon in the outside world, as in Let's Go, nor even follow you. You can familiarize yourself with what we know with our summary of key points about Sword and Shield.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will be available worldwide by the end of 2019. Do not forget to read our article on the new generic Gen 8 for more details and tell us what you think of these mysterious symbols for that we can all begin to theorize.
