A Fine Gael TD has criticized Facebook for allowing anti-vaccination 'propaganda' to reach parents.
Kate O'Connell said they urgently needed to tackle the problem because the lives of the children were in danger.
The most recent figures show that measles cases in Ireland have increased by almost 250% last year, while mumps cases have also increased by 540% this year compared to the year last.
Both vaccines are available, and MP O Connell explained that Facebook fueled misinformation:
