An Ipswich nurse accused of misconduct by world-renowned scientist Stephen Hawking is making his case heard privately.

It is understood that Dowdy worked for 15 years for the Cambridge University Scientist and author of A Brief History of Time.
Professor Hawking died last March at the age of 76, after living with motor neuron disease for more than 50 years.
Dowdy's hearing, scheduled to end next week, is in camera.
The NMC, which did not want to specify the nature of the charge, said that the individual needs of those concerned were before the public interest.
Matthew McClelland, Director of the Fitness to Practice Program of the Council of Nurses and Midwives, said, "Our legislation and guidelines are very clear: hearings will generally be in public.
"In some cases, including in this particular case, it may not always happen – because of the health of the people involved in the case, or the fact that the allegations are related to the health of the patient. the nurse or midwife.
"The public interest is always taken into account, but the panel must always give priority to the individual needs of all concerned, including families, patients, nurses, midwives and licensed practical nurses. "
The CNG hearing is taking place at the London headquarters of the NMC in Stratford Place, Montfichet Road.
