SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The spread of measles seems to be on the rise and a very sick child in the United States has been exposed to it.

The 7-year-old, who was treated at the UC Davis Medical Center in March, is suffering from tuberous sclerosis and will succumb at some point, according to his mother. He was diagnosed at the age of 4 months.
On March 17, the boy was brought to UC Davis after starting to have seizures. A few days later, the hospital told the mother that her son had been exposed to measles during his stay.
Another patient who had visited the emergency room at the same time had measles – a child who had not been vaccinated. This child had measles abroad.
The mother says that there is no room for risk with her health and that is a big concern. A doctor who treated him said that he had been exposed to measles while he was exposed,

The increase in the number of measles cases in the United States has fueled concerns among unvaccinated children. Nearly 400 cases of measles have been reported in 15 states at present,

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that if a person has measles, 90% of the non-immune people around that person will be infected. It's urging people to get vaccinated.
Measles can kill: More than 110,000 people worldwide died in 2017. In the United States,
the last measles death occurred in 2015,
