Mark your calendar: The popular event of Target's car seat exchange returns the day of the Earth.
From April 22 to May 4, Target stores will accept and recycle car seats, including baby seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, car seats with harnesses or booster seats, the retailer said in a statement.
In exchange for the old car seat, get a 20% discount on "a new car seat, a car seat base, a travel system" , a stroller or items for the baby's home such as parks, high chairs, swings, seesaws and bouncers ".
Places can only be exchanged at a customer service Target store. Coupons can be used in-store and online until May 11th.
"As our customers increasingly search for products and experiences that benefit them, their families and the planet, we are facilitating the positive impact on the environment through recovery programs," Target said in its statement.

Target will accept baby seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, fifth wheel or booster seats, and expired or damaged car seats when the seat is reinstalled. (Photo: Jovanmandic, Getty Images / iStockphoto)
The stores will accept stale or damaged car seats and the materials will be recycled by Waste Management, said Target.
Since Target launched its first car seat recovery program in April 2016, half a million car seats and over 7.4 million pounds of materials have been recycled.
How it works
- Target will accept all baby seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, car seats with harnesses or boosters and car seats, including expired or damaged seats.
- From April 22 to May 4, bring your car seat to Target customer service and place it in the drop box.
- In exchange, get a 20% discount coupon to use in-store and online until May 11th.
- The coupon can be used on baby equipment, such as on a new car seat, seat base, travel system, stroller or on home baby equipment, such as a park, high chair, swing, rocker and bouncers.
