SpaceX is moving fast: the company is looking for a "construction engineer" for the Starship project

While SpaceX's first short Static Shot of Starship Hopper's Raptor Rocket Engine was performed briefly but dramatically after sunset, the company was currently expanding its spacecraft production team in Boca Chica.

The intention of SpaceX to go fast is evident in the wording of its job offer for Build Engineers "aimed at quickly building the first versions of the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles", whose final versions will convey a day of humans to Mars, to the plans of the company.

"Build Engineers will spend time in the office and on-site (local production workshops and remote construction sites) to execute the mission to build a spaceship and a super heavy capable of operating in orbit faster than anyone," reads in the list.

The first prototype of a non-orbital spacecraft, now named "Starhopper" by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, lit the launch pad at Boca Chica on Wednesday night.

The company also accepts applications from Vehicle Integration Engineer and Vehicle Integration Technician for the Starship Project. The vehicle integration engineer "interacts with almost all parts and systems of the vehicle" and is primarily responsible for the construction, installation and testing of system-level components and equipment, according to SpaceX.

"Vehicle integration engineers work hand-in-hand with technicians and other groups to move the vehicle from a primary structure to a fully operational vehicle worthy of flying in space," reads the report. message.

The Vehicle Integration Technician is responsible "for the integration of all secondary structure components and systems, avionics (electronic) and stage propulsion systems into the main structure of the vehicle", according to the company.

On March 17, Musk announced via Twitter that SpaceX was seeking regulatory approval from Boca Chica and Cape Canaveral, Florida, for the launch of the spacecraft's first orbital flights. A prototype orbital spacecraft is under construction at the company's Boca Chica site, about 2.5 km west of the launch site.

SpaceX has also been advertising tank manufacturers / welders and the tank manufacturing supervisor in Boca Chica for several weeks.

The company declined to comment on the success of the Starhopper engine test on April 3 (the first time a rocket engine was shot on Boca Chica), thus allowing Musk's post-test tweet to suffice: " Starhopper has managed the captive jump. All systems are green.

On Thursday afternoon, Judge Eddie Trevino Jr. of Cameron County ordered the closure of S.H. 4 and Boca Chica Beach between 2pm. and 22 hours on April 5 for SpaceX testing. Another closing date, April 6, between 1 pm and at 7 pm, was also allowed in the event that tests do not take place or are not completed on April 5th.

S.H. 4 will be closed temporarily from Oklahoma Avenue to the beach entrance. In addition, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a notice to airmen banning aircraft within 1.1 nautical miles of the launch site, from the surface up to 1,000 feet above from the ground, until Friday.
