CLEVELAND – A runner died after collapsing during the 42nd Annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon.
University hospital officials identified the rider as 22-year-old Taylor Ceepo.
Ceepo collapsed during the Sunday morning race and was reportedly transported to university hospitals. Medical officials say that she died at the emergency room.
Race officials say they are studying the situation.
They are deeply saddened to learn of Ceepo's death and offered thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time.
