A boy born in mid-flight, an American airline wants to rename his plane after him

A little boy was delivered in flight to the United States, coincidentally on a plane named "Born To Be Blue".

JetBlue has now proposed to rename the plane in the newborn's honor, subject to the approval of the mother.

"We want to thank the crew and the health professionals on board for their quick action under the pressure and wish the best of luck to the new mother and new son," said a JetBlue spokesperson.

The airline also offered "more birth gifts," which could mean free flights for years to come.
