A woman in China almost died after being injected with fruit juice.
The 51-year-old woman had prepared a juice of 20 different fruits and injected her intravenously to try to be in good health, the BBC reported.
However, she suffered liver, kidney, heart and lung damage and spent five days in intensive care.

"I had thought fresh fruits were very nutritious and that it would not hurt me by injecting them into my body," said the woman, according to the Asia One outlet, based in Singapore.
"I did not know it would cause me such problems," she added.
In the beginning, the injection caused itching on the woman's skin and an increase in her temperature.
She apparently did not do anything about her discomfort until her husband noticed and encouraged her to seek treatment.

On February 22, she was admitted to the intensive care unit of the affiliated hospital of Xiangnan University in Hunan.
The doctors had to resort to dialysis to clean his blood. They injected clotting agents and gave him antibiotics, Asia One reported.
The woman was then transferred to a common ward and finally discharged from the hospital.
The story gained ground on the Chinese social media site Weibo after thousands of users used the hashtag "#OldWomanPutsJuiceIntoVeins," according to the BBC.
