A Florida woman pulled an alligator out of her pants during a roadside check on Monday, a strange move that could well be on the list of crimes reported by the state.
Ariel Machan-Le Quire, 25, was in the passenger seat of a vehicle around 3:30 pm in Punta Gorda when she was intercepted, reported the Miami Herald, citing an incident report. from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.

The department said that the woman was asked if she had anything else in the vehicle, then "proceeded to take out an alligator from her yoga pants (about a foot long) and placed her in the bed of the truck. "
Machan-Le Quire, along with pilot Michael Clemons, 22, said they were trying to collect wildlife under a viaduct. Investigators said the woman also had 41 small turtles in a backpack.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has been called to take over, the sheriff's office announced.
