Nair told ANI: "Chandrayaan-2 will be an exciting mission for the Indian space program, and in 2008 we sent our first satellite to the moon and gathered a lot of information about the moon's surface, its mineral content, etc. We also had the opportunity to place the Indian national flag on the surface of the moon. "
Speaking of Chandrayaan-2, he said, "There were many complexities in this mission, and since the development of the system is complete, we are ready for the mission." More importantly, it is important to transport a rover and make it land on the surface of the moon, then move about 300 to 500 meters and collect samples on the surface of the moon. "
ISRO announced on May 2 that the geosynchronous satellite launch launcher Mark III (GSLVMKIII) will carry three modules of this lunar mission: Orbiter, Lander (Vikram) and Rover (Pragyam).
"All modules are gearing up for the launch of Chandrayaan-2, with a planned landing of the Moon on September 06, 2019," said ISRO in a statement.
ISRO originally planned to launch the mission in April of this year. "The Orbiter and Lander modules will be interfaced mechanically and stacked as an integrated module and housed inside the GSLV MK-III launcher," says a statement released by the Space Department.
