ISRO announced on May 2 that the geosynchronous satellite launch launcher Mark III (GSLVMKIII) will carry three modules of this lunar mission: Orbiter, Lander (Vikram) and Rover (Pragyam).
"All modules are gearing up for the launch of Chandrayaan-2, with a planned landing of the Moon on September 06, 2019," said ISRO in a statement.
ISRO originally planned to launch the mission in April of this year. "The Orbiter and Lander modules will be interfaced mechanically and stacked as an integrated module and housed inside the GSLV MK-III launcher," says a statement released by the Space Department.
