A former tenant of the building accused of setting fire to a firefighter pleaded not guilty to murder, arson and other indictments.

The Worcester Firefighter (WUH & # 39; st), Christopher Roy, is a single father who survives his 9 year old daughter. He died on December 9 after being trapped on the second floor of a six-unit building. He was rescued by fellow firefighters and died at the smoke inhalation hospital.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. announced Friday that 21-year-old Momoh Kamara has been charged with second-degree murder and arson.

Kamara was detained without bail after pleading not guilty. His lawyer kept the right to apply for bail in the future, claiming that Kamara had no records and lived in the area since his childhood.
