While browsing the Internet today, I came across a message from NASA that captured the “Hand of God” in space.

The Publish, dated January 9, 2014, shows a pulsar wind nebula. According to NASA’s explanation, it is powered by the remaining dense core of a star that exploded in a supernova explosion. The rest of the star (PSR B1509-58) is a pulsar.
This pulsar spins at a speed of seven revolutions per second and with each revolution it ejects the matter that was released after the star exploded. These particles, when interacting with the magnetic fields around the material, cause an x-ray glow, resulting in a cloud that resembles that of an open hand.
What’s fascinating is that the pulsar that’s causing this isn’t clearly visible – it’s hiding behind the bright white dot. Scientists are still trying to figure out whether it is the pulsar’s particles that interact with the material in some way to create the shape of the hand, or whether the material itself is shaped like a hand.

According to NASA, when the NuSTAR X-ray Space Telescope captured the image, the hand appears to have shrunk and looks more like a fist.
The northern region where the fingers are located shrinks much more than the southern region where the jet exists, indicating that the two regions are physically different.

The red cloud is nicknamed RCW 89, and astronomers believe the clouds are heated by the pulsar winds, resulting in a lower energy glow.
